The 3 events that had the greatest impact on making south central LA what it is today were the watts riots,gang history,and crack epidemic.This events have to do with alot that is happening today.
The first event is the watts riot.This event had a great impact on south central because in the watts riot their were many stores burned and other places.Today their is other things in those places were things were burned down.This event all started out because of a cop that tried to arrest marquett fryer for drunk driving.This event made alot of white people leave south central, this is why their is not that much white people here.This changed south central because because it made it look bad for other people.It made it look like only latinos and blacks live here.
The second event is the gang history.This event tells how the gangs started out.the first gang were the black panthers and the brown berrets.White people also had a gang called the spook hunters they were the largest white gang in south central.The black panthers and the brow berets were made so they could protect black and the brown communities from white people and police herassment.This event changed south central because it has to do with the gangs we have now but not with the same purpose.When the this gangs were destroyed other gangs formed.
The last event that changed south central is the crack epidemic.This event is when the cia brought drugs into south central and gave it to people to sell it in black and latino neighborhoods.When people were losing their jobs they got in the job of distributings drugs to people to support their families.This things led to many crimes and destroyed families.Many people were incarceated or were killed by this drugs.This event changed south central because we still have drug dealers selling drugs here.We also have destroy families because af the cia bringig drug into south central
This are the three eventst that i think chenged south central the most.I think in the future parts of south central are going to become better and some are giong to stay the same.
